In 1896, workers excavating a dry dock in Buenos Aires found a skull, at the level of 11 meters (36 feet) below the bed of the river La Plata, after breaking through a layer of limestonelike substance, in a Pre-Ensenadan stratum. The deposit is dated one to one and a half million years old. There are two problems with the discovery if we follow the conventional view: anatomically modern humans did not exist a million years ago and there were no humans in the Americas before about 20,000 years ago. As with Reck’s skull in Tanzania, there is no indication that the skull fragment was actually embedded in an undisturbed geological deposit. Certainly a very inconvenient artifact...
