I think that anything marked as public domain can go almost copy-paste to wiki, right?

Don't see why not, as long as its sourced properly. If we use an excerpt, list the references and link to the source.

I'd like to see the name of the author(s) at the end of the articles that they have submitted or edited

for example

The problem with that is: anyone can edit and improve such article. Actually, i would like to see my article improved + i would not like to see bunch of nicks bellow article in such case, as well as only my own nick = i disagree smile.gif

Maybe two types of articles? Usual, and personal research?

I suggest new category: user research, where users could place their own opinions and research (also decide about changes themselves), and such pages would all be marked as personal research pages with their nick or name. And we could even use them as reference in usual wiki pages, which should be as much objective as possible (for example: "...some researchers claim [link], that...")

I suppose they can always go to the page history and find old versions, contributors and the original author if they need to. If someone clicks on a contributors name, they coudl find a list of all the articles that have added or contributed to. This is something I would like to see here on the forums as well, and maybe someday for torrents uploads on the CC track as well. smile.gif

New category for personal research, very good idea Nercury! That might work quite well, since the main defintion could include information that is more general and agreed upon, with links to research as you suggested. Also, researchers could write personal articles first and then copy sections into the main wiki as well where they could be edited by everyone. I think that is how Cypher originaly envisioned it working.

Might make an interesting system of objective and personal interpretation!
