Following this discussion, I just purchased the Invision Power Gallery add-on, which has a load of cool features. Primarily, this gives an easy and integrated way for members to upload & store images on our own webspace here, for linking into Blogs and Wiki, and lots of other cool features as well. I have also enabled small Windows media .wmv or Quicktime .mov files on the gallery, so members can upload small clips (up to 50MB) for streaming from the server.

There seems to be a bit of a bug with the permissions for the E-cards, but I'll be trying to fix that over the next few days, & hope to have that working soon as well.
