The link below takes you to a site where people can watch old TV ads and buy them on DVD. I find that pretty surreal in and of itself, but I found a little gem there that I wanted to share with you.
As you may or may not realise, the UK's eighth-largest bank (I think), the Bradford and Bingley Building Society has been on borrowed time for months – although stories are just beginning to break about this in the press as we speak (UK Times). Once again, we the Great British taxpayer, will bear the brunt, because the CEO responsible bailed out months ago and that's been the plan all along in any case.
Anyway, so much for the old news you should have known ages ago, here's the thing I found interesting: check out this genuine ad for Bradford and Bingley.
In it, you see your 'Care Free Life' fly out of the window while you are sleeping. Then, once free of your attention, it goes on to get swallowed up by B&B before disappearing into a watery pool of nothingness.
It's true. Go see!
