OBAMA, " I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS.."
Submitted by cyberella on Mon, 2008-03-03 11:30.

"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds change in an ugly direction". BARACK OBAMA from The Audacity Of Hope.

And indeed, he has.
Google, "Obama is my Cousin".
Kenyan Odinga ran for the presidency with a pact with the hard-line Muslims that he would force Islam on the country if elected. Having lost his bid for the presidency, he instigated a murderous rampage that resulted in over a thousand deaths- including burning down a Christian church with 50 people inside.
OBAMA WENT TO KENYA TO CAMPAIGN FOR ODINGA and was so supportive of Odinga, that a government official called Obama Odinga's 'stooge'.

What might possible occur if Obama became president?
Mass immigration of radical Islamists?
More BILLIONS pumped into Africa? (Obama took a pledge when he joined the Trinity Church of Christ, to place Africa above all else0
Send troops to Africa? (Obama has already said that if president he would stop the fighting in Dafur)

"I feel sad having to expose Barack Obama," says Martin, "but the man is a complete fraud. The truth is going to surprise, and disappoint, and outrage many people who were drawn to him. He has lied to the American people, and he has sought to misrepresent his own heritage.

"Obama's life story is vastly different from the one he portrays. My point: if he will lie about his mother and father, what else is he lying about? Can we expect 'bimbo eruptions?'

"Fiction: Obama stated in his Convention speech: 'My father … grew up herding goats.' The 'goat herder' claim has been repeated endlessly. It is a lie.

"Fact: Obama's grandfather, Hussein Onyango Obama was a prominent and wealthy farmer. His son, Obama's father, was a child of privilege, not privation. He was an outstanding student, not a herdsman.

"Fiction: Obama was given an 'African' name.

"Fact: Obama is a Muslim who has concealed his religion..

"He has treated his Muslim heritage as a dark secret. His grandfather was named 'Hussein.' That is an Arabic-Muslim, not African, name. Hussein was a devout Muslim and named his son, Barack Senior, 'Baraka.' Baraka is an Arabic word meaning 'blessed.' Baraka comes out of the Koran and Arabic, not Africa.

"Barack Senior was also a devoted Muslim, and also chose a Muslim name for his son, our own Barack Obama, Junior. Again, his name was an Arabic and Koranic.

Can a past of Islam change the path to president for Obama?

The Illinois Democrat spent much of last week refuting unfounded reports that he had been educated in a madrassa, or radical Islamic school, when he lived in Indonesia as a boy.

"The Indonesian school Obama attended in Jakarta is a public school that is not and never has been a Madrassa," said a statement put out by the senator's staff.

But the school did teach the Quran, Islam's holy book, along with subjects such as math and science, according to Obama, who attended when he was 9 and 10.

"In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school," he wrote in his first memoir, "Dreams from my Father." "The teacher wrote to tell my mother that I made faces during Koranic studies."

Obama — whose father, stepfather, brother and grandfather were Muslims — explained his own first name, Barack, in "Dreams": "It means 'Blessed.' In Arabic. My grandfather was a Muslim."

In his second memoir, "The Audacity of Hope," Obama added: "Although my father had been raised a Muslim, by the time he met my mother he was a confirmed atheist."

Still, when his father, a black Kenyan named Barack Obama Sr., died in 1982, "the family wanted a Muslim burial," Obama quoted his brother, Roy, as saying in "Dreams."

The statement put out by Obama's office last week referred to his father simply as "an atheist," without mentioning his Muslim upbringing.

Seriously people, how can we trust this man to be our next president? I was watching CNN and Obama is working so hard to somehow distance himself from Rev Wright and that whole debacle. Is he for real on this, or is it just hype?

But this quote and the many other shockers that I have found are HIS words, not someone else's. He could somehow possibly convince people that he does not hold the same beliefs as Wright, but where is the explanation for the horrible things that he has written in his books? How does one distance himself from his own beliefs?
Bottom line, this man can't be trusted to lead our country.

This quote "I will Stand With the Muslums," is actually FICTION! It is a misconstrued sentence in the book. My mother told me not to believe everything I read, I would like to extend this advice to you at this time. Obama was talking about Arab and Pakistani Americans who were detained by INS after 9/11. The word "Muslim" is not in the paragraph. Obama is talking about protecting US citizens.

Here is the actual paragraph:

“Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern. In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese interments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

The word “them” was exchanged with the word “Muslims” in your quote making it false since he was actually talking about naturalized citizens who were taken into detention or under the threat of being taken into detention because of where they were from. If you recall, Japanese Americans were detained in Internment Camps during WWII.

So in otherways, he would stand by them so as long as they renounce any faith or any connections to Islam?
