Hi everyone,
Can anyone point me towards reliable sources on the early history of the Freemasons? Most of what I read online seems pretty speculative...
I am particularly keen to get more information on the theory that the Freemasons copied the model of early or contemporary groups like the Weavers.

I'm not an expert but I've certainly found that (at least to an extent) the early history of freemasonry tends to blur into an impenetrable soup of other things, such as Babylon and the Mystery Religion, the Illuminati and Luciferianism, The Vatican and the Knights Templar etc. That said, Albert Mackay's Encyclopedia of Freemasonry (1914) and Albert Pike's Moral and Dogma (1871) are well respected masonic sources and both contain some useful info. If you'd like to see them on the tracker let me know.

Watch 'THE SIMPSONS CODE' on youtube. It shows when the next terrorist attacks will be in 2009 (Dec 10-25). Remember Matt Groening is a 32 degree freemason.
