New poll shows 88% of public support call for a referendum on the new EU treaty and that 89% would vote against it. You can see the problem for the government (and the controlled opposition for that matter) right there, and it left Bill Rammell (Higher Education Minister) with a huge task to dismiss the poll as nonsense and retain any credibility whatsoever for himself. I won't spoil the surprise; you can read the full article to see the two excuses he was given to spout.

Some 88% of the British public want a referendum on the EU's Lisbon Treaty, according to private polls for the I Want a Referendum (IWAR) campaign.
The unofficial ballot was conducted by postal vote last month in 10 Labour and Liberal Democrat marginal seats.

A total of 152,520 people voted, with 133,251 backing a referendum. IWAR claims the turnout is higher than that in local council elections.

Higher education minister Bill Rammell dismissed the poll as "flawed".
Time's up Mr Rammell, your spin machine just doesn't work anymore. We want a referendum and 88% of the population is critical mass, however you dress it up. You and your bankster controllers need to rein in your arrogance and start listening.
