QUOTE
One GOP leader has heard enough of Paul

By JIM DAVENPORT - The Associated Press

The chairman of the Michigan Republican Party said Wednesday he will try to bar presidential candidate Ron Paul from future GOP debates because of remarks the Texas congressman made that suggested the Sept. 11 attacks were the fault of U.S. foreign policy.

Michigan party chairman Saul Anuzis said he will circulate a petition among Republican National Committee members to ban Paul from other debates. At a GOP candidates' debate Tuesday night, Paul drew attacks from all sides, most forcefully from former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, when he linked the terror attacks to U.S. bombings.

"Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years," Paul said.

Anuzis called the comments "off the wall and out of whack."

"I think he would have felt much more comfortable on the stage with the Democrats in what he said last night and I think that he is a distraction in the Republican primary and he does not represent the base and he does not represent the party," Anuzis said during an RNC state leadership meeting in Columbia.

"Given what he said last night it was just so off the wall and out of whack that I think it was more detrimental than helpful," Anuzis said.

Anuzis said his petition would go to debate sponsors and broadcasters to discourage inviting Paul.

Paul's campaign did not immediately return calls seeking comment Wednesday.

After the debate Tuesday, Paul said he didn't' expect his remarks to end his campaign.

"The last time I got a message out about my position on the war it boosted us up by tens of thousands and I didn't change my position," Paul said. "I think the American people are sick and tired of this war and want it ended."

I was thinking of sending this:

The United States had been bombing Iraq and participating in other activities that would obviously upset Muslims in the Middle East for years before September 11th. All the warning signs were there that we had stirred up a beehive.

Representative Ronald Paul was stating a simple fact that is obviously related the motivations of Islamic terrorists against America. It would be insufficient to say that their motivation was only out of hate for our money or freedom. It would be ignorant to say it was purely out of religiously motivated hate.

Republican, Democrat or neither you cannot deny that our intervention in the Middle East contributed to motivating terror against the United States. You are attacking Dr. Paul for stating a simple fact. A historical fact. To say that he would be "much more comfortable on the stage with the Democrats" like that scumbag Hillary Clinton is foolish. Ron Paul is more of a Conservative and more of a Republican than you will ever be.

Not so long ago, the Republican leadership stood for small government, low taxes and non-intervention. That is what Republican voters still stand for. Let the man speak his opinion and have a chance against the pathetic, pro-choice, pro-torture, pro-war line-up that the is the party's only current alternative. Back off of Ron Paul, and fight for some real issues.

On Tuesday night at the Republican candidate debates, Representative Ronald Paul stated a simple fact about United States foreign policy. Representative Paul said that America was not attacked on September 11th simply because of our wealth and freedom. America was attacked because of our military intervention in the Middle East.

"Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us?" he asked. "They attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years

Rudy Giuliani interupted the debate to protest what Dr. Paul said. Later in the debate, Tom Tancredo said, "whether ... Israel existed or didn't, whether or not we were in Iraq or not, they would be trying to kill us, because it is a dictate of their religion."

Since the debate, Republican leaders such as Saul Anuzis and members of the media who are considered representatives of the party have accused Ron Paul of blaming the American people for 9-11. They have called for him to apologize for what he said. And they have called for him to be removed from all future debates.

Ron Paul did not blame the American people. He blamed bad policy by political officials going back to the 1950s. It is a historical fact that the United States has stirred up hatred for itself through and military intervention and other influence in the Middle East. Ron Paul owes no apologies for what he said. Giuliani owes the party and the Fox News Network an apology for disrupting the debate to uplift himself. Tancredo owes an apology to the party, the network and the American people, especially those who are Muslim, for his blaming of the attacks on the Muslim religion of the attackers.

There is no way that Ron Paul should be removed from the Republican debates. There is nothing wrong with having a different opinion than the rest of the candidates. That is the point of the debate. There is nothing wrong with stating historical facts, no matter how much others refuse to admit the mistakes of America's past. Removing him from future debates would be an invasion of free speech. It would be a disgrace to the party and the country.

Ron Paul is a great American patriot. I trust him to protect the Constitution more than any other public official. He is a true conservative. And he is the Republican Party's best shot at beating Hillary Clinton or whichever other degenerate the Democratic Party puts on the ballot.

If the Republican Party tries to silence Ronald Paul by removing him from future debates, I will not vote for another Republican candidate in my life. I will vote independent, and if need be Democrat. But I will not support a party that opposes honesty and free speech.

Ron Paul is the only shot at stopping the Neo-Con NWO scum who make up the rest of the running for President. Make the call today.

With Anuzis, the Michigan party and the RNC all swarmed with calls and emails, they had to give up:
Michigan GOP Move To Kick Ron Paul Out Of Debates Dropped

Ron Paul handled the press attacks like a trooper:
Ron Paul CNN Late Edition (05/20/07)

Also, Ron Paul just spoke out against the NWO:

Presidential Candidate Ron Paul: First Bush Was Working Towards New World Order

Ron Paul will be included in the debate next month.

Get the world out about Ron Paul, because the media obviously isn't going to.

Action Alert: Keep Ron Paul In The Debate
Neo-Con Republican Elite Seek To Silence Frontrunner
Sign the petition http://www.petitiononline.com/r0npau1/petition.html, jam the phone lines (1-202-863-8500), save free speech and the electoral processFrom Fox News, to GOPAC to factions of the Republican Party, the Neo-Con elite have sworn to crush free speech, kill the electoral process and kick the clear frontrunner - Congressman Ron Paul - out of the debates. Only by taking immediate action can we fight back against these anti-American enemies of freedom.

Ron Paul's message of limited government, personal liberty, abolishing the IRS and bringing U.S. troops home for good resonates with the mass body politic of the American people - which is exactly why the establishment are attacking the Congressman and attempting to smear him from every angle.

Now the Michigan chapter of the Republican party wants to kick Ron Paul out of the debates altogether, despite the fact that he won both debates, crushed his nearest rivals in the polls and is clearly the frontrunner for the candidacy.

This is akin to an analogy where the Mafia owns nine of the ten horses in a race. The only horse that isn't owned by them is the frontrunner and is a full length ahead. Now the mob boss simply wants to rig the race by shooting that horse dead in broad daylight.

Let these enemies of free speech know that there is an army of informed and outraged activists holding their feet to the fire and demanding that Ron Paul be included in all the subsequent GOP debates. If the Congressman is a "second tier" candidate as they claim then why are we witnessing a concerted effort to silence and censor Ron Paul?

Why are these bullies attempting to destroy the electoral process?

This is an action alert - we need everyone to flood the RNC phone lines with their support for Ron Paul and for keeping him in the debates.

ACTION: Call the RNC now at 1-202-863-8500 - jam their phone lines and let them know that we will not tolerate any effort on behalf of any faction within the GOP to silence Ron Paul or kill the electoral process!
