On Sept. 24, 2005 a bunch of San Diegans took to the streets to denounce the war in Iraq. I went and collected a few individual statements from a few people who were there.
Mohammad was there to bring awareness to 9/11,
staff SGT. Lewis US Army, Ret. who said that this administration "is a joke" and was happy to say "G.O.P stands for 'GawdAwful Oxymoronic Policies'",
Ricardo made a sutble point about the oddity of "protesting for peace",
Pablo Paredes clarifies what Bush meant when he said "freedom is on the march",
Jamal Kanj, who inflamed some members of the gathering by suggesting that the motivating force to begin and continue the war in Iraq came more from Israel than the United States, elaborated his point with me. I asked him about the arrest of British Intellegence agents which had happened earlier that week.
Robert was eager to say that Bush is a failure,
"us teenagers" came on and said "Bush: ugh, No, Blah."
