Hi irrelevant,
I think your questions about what to believe regarding religion / spirituality are pretty much universal, but everyone you ask will give you a slightly different answer. Rather than give you an "answer" as such, my suggestion would be that everyone should investigate this for themselves, rather than just accept someone else's point of view. The more information you look for, and the more open you are to looking at the issue from all sides, the more empowered you become to determine for youself what you believe to be correct and true.
This is a deeply individual and personal issue, and I don't personally think that anyone has the right to tell anyone else what they should believe in. We all have the free will to choose, hence my suggestion of being open to looking at this from all angles, before deciding for yourself. When I looked deeper into these things for myself, I learned that many of my previous beliefs stemmed from other peoples' ideas, which I later found to be flawed. This isn't to say that I have all the answers; I don't. I merely have the ones that I believe to be true, and if I find good evidence to the contrary, I would like to be honest enough with myself to be able to re-evaluate them once again.
Hope you got the work thing sorted out, by the way
